Our MDPE pipe is approved for use in underground mains water systems and has a pressure rating of 12.5 bar. However, this pipe is also perfectly suited to above-ground applications, from supplying shower units at festivals/campsites to supplying livestock fresh drinking water.
Plumbing the pipe together is easily done by people of any skill level. To affix lengths of pipe together, you will need a pipe liner of matching size and an MDPE compression coupling. Place the pipe liner inside the end of the pipe and then slot the pipe into the compression coupling. Tighten the blue-collar above the hose until you feel resistance and you are done!
The couplings work by crushing the hose between the liner and the coupling, forming a pressure fit bond between the parts.
